Today, the lovely Freestyle Gemme d’Or joined my stables. This magnificent six-month-old filly is the daughter of Valverde and a mare by Bordeaux. She will keep Luna company and I hope she will shine alongside her on the showground in a few years’ time. A big thank you to Emma for raising and training this princess so well.

I would like to pay tribute to the expertise and professionalism of Emma Pastor, breeder and owner of my little prince Foxtrot GEMMES D’OR, whom I went to collect a month ago tomorrow and who is a real treasure ! He is a well-adjusted foal who has been excellently handled since birth, and I have had no trouble since his arrival in establishing the trust that will take us to the ends of the earth! Today the weather was really harsh, with strong winds blowing. My foal had been put out to pasture with his friends, and I wanted to go and cover him. I called him, he answered me and came to meet me, his friends following close behind, of course. As I covered him, the other foals recoiled from the blanket, which was being blown up by the wind, but he didn’t move an ear. I first closed the strap across his chest, passed the strap under his tail, then managed to grab the girths that were flapping in the wind and cover him with the utmost delicacy. He never moved a muscle, just waiting for his little carrot treats! A real big horse! So thank you again, Emma, for all your handling and the confidence you gave him, so that writing our beautiful story and establishing our bond is now just a formality.

About Big Up
First time outside with BIG UP, and not just any outing !
We waited a while, but I’m still apprehensive about our little road because many cars don’t pay attention…
Walk/river work.
For the first time, we went to the river. There were no scares on the road, but when we got into the water, I had to jump a few times. He wondered what it was under his feet, but then quickly relaxed.
We walked a few metres in the water before heading off on a path and finding a field to work on a few lunges, and we ran for a good distance.
I would like to thank @caballuus for reminding us of the basics of training so that we can work as safely as possible for both of us.

Today we went on a little exploration to the stable and took a short ride around the Havrincourt round pen. There were lots of distractions, but he remained very attentive.

A new adventure.
This charming foal, by Bonds x Don Daxau, which we acquired this summer, arrived at our home this afternoon.
After a few attempts to climb up in the lorry during the first few kilometres, he settled down and remained calm throughout the 6½-hour journey. We will do everything we can to make sure he is as comfortable as possible.

It’s official, we are now the proud owners of this magnificent foal.
I couldn’t have asked for anything better. He has everything I love and have always dreamed of having or breeding: a dark chestnut coat, four white socks, a large blaze and, as a little bonus, a small spot under his belly.
Genetically, his sire is Bonds and his dam is Elfen by Don Daxau (Diamon Hit).
A huge thank you to my darling for making my dreams come true.
And thank you to Emma Pastor for breeding this beauty, for accepting us as his new family and for welcoming us so warmly. It was worth crossing France once again to meet him.
He continues to grow up with his friends and his mum and will join us after weaning.He is a lovely foal who has been well trained in his early life by his breeder Emma.
