MY EXPERIENCE
Horse riding as a legacy
Born in the heart of my family’s stables, I grew up surrounded by privately-owned horses and a family of horse-riders in the Paris region. Being immersed in this world from a very young age has given me an intuitive feel for and a deep understanding of these animals.
Horses play a fundamental role in my life. It’s not just a job, nor merely a passion – it’s a way of life that I’ve always shared.
The breeder and the rider
With a career focused on dressage, I have progressed to the ‘Amateur Elite’ level, a level that demands rigour, accuracy and perfect harmony with the horse. This technical expertise provides me with a deep understanding of the expectations of today’s riders and guides my work as a breeder in my choice of matings, with the aim of producing practical, high-performing horses.
A comprehensive and accredited learning path
My practical experience is based on a recognised training at the Clairefontaine Riding School:
– Technical expertise and care : CAPA in Equine Care & Bac Pro CGEH (Management and Operation of an Equestrian Business).
– Pedagogy and teaching: BPJEPS in Horse Riding.
I have worked as an instructor, competition coach and riding centre manager. These roles have enabled me to develop a comprehensive understanding of managing a riding centre and supporting riders.
OUR FARMING ETHICS
We pay particular attention to our breeding mares, ensuring their physical and emotional integrity is respected. We make sure they are given time to rest, that pregnancies are spaced out, and that breeding is tailored to their health and well-being. The quality of a foal begins long before its birth and depends, above all, on respect for and consideration of the mare carrying it.
Caring for our mares is neither a luxury nor an excess, it is about prevention, ethics and a long-term vision. We wish to welcome clients who share our values, who are aware of the commitment involved in owning a horse and who are keen to foster this relationship based on respect and trust.

At Les Gemmes d’Or, our foals are not consumer products. We regard them first and foremost as living beings in their own right. Sensitive and unique, reared with respect, care and dedication, we are convinced that a foal that is loved, understood and cherished will grow into a healthy, well-balanced horse, sufficiently confident to thrive in a sporting career.
Animal welfare guides all our practices. Our horses live in an environment tailored to their physical and mental needs, with daily, attentive monitoring of their health, development and relationship with humans. Time, patience and observation are at the heart of our approach, enabling each horse to grow and live at its own pace.

OUR FOALS' ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
The value of a foal cannot be reduced to its type, colour or size ; a foal may have a very harmonious conformation without necessarily possessing the movement qualities required of a future Grand Prix horse. Therefore, in the name of transparency and consistency, at Les Gemmes d’Or we assess the sporting qualities of our foals using an evaluation grid comprising 12 reference criteria, each scored on a scale of 1 to 12, in order to determine their ‘sporting potential’.
It is the combination of these 12 qualities and the extent to which they are expressed that enables us to distinguish between a good foal and an exceptional one.
